Mara

(* 1995) from Ritten in South Tyrol began her musical journey at an early age in elementary school. In addition to her main instrument, the zither, she got to know various instruments such as the recorder and alto flute, the guitar, the drums, the piano and singing. After graduating from the social science high school with music in Brixen, Mara Vieider studied the artistic-pedagogical bachelor's degree at the University of Music and Theater in Munich with the main subject zither with Prof. Georg Glasl, as well as the two minor subjects singing with Timo Janzen and EMP with Prof. Dr. Andrea Sangiorgio and Christa Coogan. Mara gained further experience and inspiration in master classes and advanced training courses, among others. with Prof. Fredrik Schwenk, Prof. Moritz Eggert, Prof. Michael Eberth, Prof. Hartwig Groth, Prof. Sascha Wienhausen, ... During her musical career, Mara Vieider successfully took part in numerous competitions and projects. Among others at Zither auf Zeche, Zither am Berg, as soloist in the orchestra of the South Tyrolean Operetta Games, the ballet project Kohlenpott Memories, the Ernst Volkmann Prize, on various Zither days, Prima La Musica, the national competition, folk music competition in Innsbruck, ... Mara Vieider often gives concerts as a soloist, has led the Lengstein church choir since 2018, is an active member of the South Tyrolean Youth Choir, plays in the duo "Cetranello" with Claudia Höpfl from Munich, in the duo "Gfühlvoll" with Johannes Karbon from South Tyrol and teaches zither and EMP at the music schools in South Tyrol.
